About
Hi, I’m Kiley Vaughan, a senior at the University of Florida, graduating in May 2025 with a degree in Journalism and Communications. Growing up just outside Washington, D.C., I developed a passion for news and storytelling, inspired by the fast-paced political and national reporting around me.

I’ve gained hands-on experience at WUFT News, NPR, and Voice of America, producing news for global audiences across Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. My work includes pitching and developing breaking news stories, writing for diverse platforms, conducting live on-air reporting, and interviewing political leaders and experts. I also have experience in social media strategy and content creation to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.

Beyond journalism, I’m interested in broader communications roles that blend storytelling with strategic messaging, such as media relations, content creation, and brand communications. I’m eager to apply my skills to roles that shape narratives, engage audiences, and build meaningful connections across platforms.
My goal is to build a career in media—whether in a newsroom or on the corporate side—while working in a vibrant city. I’d love to connect with professionals in the field and would greatly appreciate any advice or opportunities to learn more.
